Mission Statement

The Students of San Jose State University Department of Aviation are appealing to the industry. Our Aviation Department has been in a state of decline for the past four years. The School of Engineering has taken a premeditated and systematic approach to dismantle the Aviation campus at the San Jose International Airport. We have lost trust in San Jose State University by clearly demonstrated lack of support and guidance. Our department leadership lacks vision, initiative and creativity in support of student programs. San Jose State Aviation students and alumni have historically achieved success within the aviation community; we need organizational roadblocks removed to assure the same success of current and future students of this vital aviation program.

-We feel we are not receiving the level of education promised by the San Jose State University’s accreditation and mission statement of goals

-We plan to rebuild the San Jose State University Department of Aviation with the goal of providing leaders to our state and national aviation industry

Decisive moves must be taken to assure the future of San Jose State Aviation; the only California State University to offer such a unique and valuable aviation program. We are confident that given the proper to tools to succeed, San Jose State University will continue to produce influential leaders to promote the aviation industry into the 21st century.
